Pandemia

Covid-19 hit Wuhan hard towards the end of 2019. By March and April 2020, the outbreak had become a major international emergency, a global pandemic not seen since the Spanish Flu a century earlier.

The pandemic turned into a major global health, political and economic crisis. Most countries imposed forms of lockdown and facemasks became a common site the world over.

They were tumultuous times, with huge mental health implications. Physical human interaction were dampened by ´social distancing´ and further efforts to help curtail the spread of the virus. This series therefore explores the darkness that enveloped society - death, loneliness, longing, anxiety, fear - but, at times, it also offers a glimmer of hope.
